In this week’s food section, where I had a couple of stories about old cookbooks and the people who adore them, I put out a call to readers to tell me about their cookbook collections.

I was surprised to get so many responses from readers whose shelves full of cookbooks are among their most treasured spaces in their homes, including a 92-year-old woman in New Braunfels who says she has 3,000 books. (You can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be calling her back.)

I realized that I didn’t officially put the call out on the Interwebs to hear about your cookbook collections. I’d love to hear about your beloved books either in the comments below or by emailing me at abroyles@statesman.com. Photos — “shelfies,” I hear they are called — would be excellent.
