Clearly, my spring sweet tooth has kicked into full gear.
I picked that jam crumble bar as our recipe of the week, and just now, one of my editors, Kristin Finan, brought in some strawberry muffins that she baked over the weekend using berries that her kids picked at Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls. (My apologies for calling it Sweet Home Farm in an earlier version of this post.)

Strawberry muffins from @kristinfinan! What an awesome Monday morning office treat, made with an Ina Garten recipe that I'll link to on my blog and berries her kiddos picked at Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls. #austin360cooks #fromthefield #strawberries #tweetme #relishaustin
Finan, who oversees the travel section, is always going on weekend adventures with her family, and I’m glad she reminded me that it’s prime strawberry picking season at that Sweet Home, one of the most popular pick-your-own farms in Central Texas. She said that they should have berries for at least a few more weeks, but even if you can’t make it out there, you can try this strawberry muffin recipe from Ina Garten that she used.
Super moist with a heavenly amount of cinnamon and butter, these muffins reminded me of applesauce muffins that were a winter favorite when I was a kid but with the fragrant strawberry scent of spring.
