Austin360Eats: Chowing down on some beefy burgers

A couple of burgers for you on this Friday.

Hopdoddy has been amping up its specialty burgers in the past few months, and one on the menu right now is the poutine burger topped with gravy, fries, Tillamook cheese (no cheese curds, unfortunately) and a poached egg that Alexis Nguyen (@alexisbnguyen, gotta love her bio: “new experiences enthusiast”) posted Sunday on Instagram.

Wholly Cow Burgers might have closed its downtown location, but it is still drawing fans to the South Lamar location, not too far from where the new In-N-Out Burger recently broke ground. On Monday, Instagram user @traveling.eats called the “Pure Single” burger made with grass-fed beef, grilled jalapeños, onions and a fried egg — served with a side of sweet potatoes fries — her new favorite burger in Austin.
