We love finding new Instagram accounts to follow through #Austin360Eats, and this week, we discovered two new (to us) foodies to follow. (And to be honest, not a week goes by that we don’t find an awesome new foodie account to follow or find out about a new eatery. This week, it was the Latin/Asian fusion food truck called The BandWagon, opening this week at 900 E. Cesar Chavez St.)
For all you ceviche lovers out there 😋 ————————————— Baja Ceviche (shrimp, lime juice, avocado, jalapeño, onion, cilantro) ————————————— #takoba #austin #austintx #atx #atxeats #austineats #austin360eats #austininmymouth #keepaustineatin #do512 #myfab5 #austinfoodstagram #atxfoodie ————————————— Use the hashtag #ATXFoodieCouple to recommend our next restaurant destination!
Last week, we met @atxfoodiecouple, a brand new account from Austinites who are partners in eating and in love, as their bio explains. They eat all over the city, from north at the Domain and the Jack Allen’s Kitchen in Round Rock to Mettle in East Austin. Their photo of this bowl of shrimp ceviche at Takoba, 1411 E. Seventh St., made us crave a bowl of warmed chips and a salted margarita.
Next up is @eat.explore.amour, whose love of puns pops up in every caption, as in this photo from Daito, the relatively new Japanese restaurant at 2716 1/2 Guadalupe St.: “No need to lose your tempura, you can get soba noodles at Daito!” No word on whether they’ll compete at the O. Henry Pun-Off, which returns May 9.
Share photos of what you’re eating at Central Texas restaurants, food trucks, cafes and markets by adding #Austin360Eats to your posts on social media. Each week, we pull some of our favorite images to run in print.
