Lots of Americans hit the road on Labor Day weekend, but this time, it’s Holiday Inn Express that’s on tour.
The hotel chain is on a nine-city tour promoting its new “Pancake Selfie” technology, which uses special lasers to imprint selfies taken with a mobile phone camera directly onto a pancake.
They have a “The Stack Station,” available at Holiday Inn Expresses across the country, which are push-button pancake machines that can make pancakes in less than 60 seconds. They also have a version that can make a selfie pancake, but that isn’t available where you’re staying this weekend, so the company is taking the idea on tour, including a two-day stop in Austin at the Domain this weekend.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, you can stop by the truck, snap a selfie and have it printed on a pancake for free.
