How’s that New Year’s resolution to eat better going? Great? Good. Now skip this post. Not so great? Read on.
Edible Austin’s Bacon and Beer Festival is returning for the fourth year on Jan. 28 at Brazos Hall, 204 E. Fourth St. In partnership with Eat Boston, the local magazine will bring together area chefs and brewers for an afternoon of bacon celebration.
The event is a fundraiser for the Central Texas Food Bank. Over the past three years, Edible Austin has raised more than $28,000 for the food bank from the festival.
“Year after year, Austin makes for one of our best Bacon and Beer Festivals in the country. The combination of a crazy-good culinary scene, an amazing craft beer community, trusted event partner Edible Austin and so many people who want to have fun make it one of my favorite cities to host this event,” says Aaron Cohen, founder of Eat Boston and the Bacon and Beer Festival.
Early entry to the event starts at 12:30 p.m., followed by general entry at 1 p.m. Tickets cost $47 ($100 for early admission) and are available at edibleaustin.com/baconandbeer.
