Outstanding in the Field heads to Yonder Farm for Feb. 9 dinner

Outstanding in the Field was way ahead of both the locavore and pop-up restaurant curves.

In 1999, chef/artist Jim Denevan hosted a pop-up dinner at a farm in Santa Cruz, Calif., and soon them them on the road. By the mid-2000s, they were hosting dinners across the country, including Central Texas. They now host more than 100 events a years and have taken the dinners outside the U.S. to 12 countries, including Mexico and Italy. (Soon, they’ll add Chile and Argentina to that list.)
